Stefan and I wanted to shoot a video outside. Somewhere green and luminous. We made a date. It rained. We rescheduled. It rained again. Postponed again, it rained again. And again.
Finally we fixed an unmovable, set in stone, no-matter-what date. Rain or shine, we said. But still, we hoped for sun. Crossed our fingers, whistled to the wind, set out offerings to Ganesh. Prayed.
Iyengar says: "Yoga is a light, which once lit, will never dim. The better your practice, the brighter the flame." The rain reminded us that the power of the practice is not reliant on the external world, but on the light which we create within ourselves.
